D no fue a trabajar porque está con bronquitis. Las chicas tosen pero no me aguanto a todos en casa así que ellas fueron a la guarde y cole (y el médico dijo que están bien, sólo una tos menor, no soy tan desalmada).
Estoy listando cosas en ebay, y tengo esta caja que me tiene a maltraer. Me la quedo? no me la quedo?. Si me dan muchos dólares la vendo (vendo a mis hijas por muchos $$$)!.
Estos dos eventos sin casi importancia marcan una diferencia abismal en mi vida social.
Sonia es una gran amiga, mi amiga australiana (aunque sea de New Zealand) pero esta semana, estas dos mujeres y mi relación con ellas, me entusiasma infinitamente.

Hace no mucho tiempo, Valeria decía algo bastante parecido a lo que yo estoy sintiendo. Hablaba de como cuando el entorno es acomoda, o quizás sea uno el que se acomoda, las cosas se encaminan.
Mi teoría de los 5-6 años no falla. A los 5 o 6 años de empezar a vivir en un lugar es cuando recién uno forma parte de ese lugar. Antes de eso, uno es un extraño, no solo a los ojos de los demás sino a los propios ojos. No hay historia común con el lugar, no hay raíces, no hay nada.
Anoche hablaba con D y me dijo "estás refrescada".
No hay una traducción pero amplió (él) diciéndome "estás alegre desde adentro". Le dije que sí. Me dijo: son estas mujeres y la posibilidad. Le dije que si. Que no es que quiera un alma gemela, pero sí quiero referentes en el entorno. Gente a la que poder llamar para tomar un café o para nada. Amigos, conocidos, compañeros.
La diferencia es sideral.

Busy week
D did not go to work because he is sick. The kids are coughing but I don’t want them at home so they went to school and kindy (the doctor said they will be fine, I am not that bad!)
I’m listing a box on ebay and it is killing me. Should I keep it? Shouldn’t I? If I get trillions of dollars I sell it (for trillions of dollars I sell my kids!)
I will go out with Shaylene on Wednesday. Just a coffee in a new coffee shop/patisserie a couple of blocks from home. And on Friday there is a "little gathering" at Amanda's house in the afternoon. A woman from childcare left and we all love her so it is a way to make her feel loved. If that is possible. A thank you/farewell party. Amanda said she is going to cook some pizzas, and I’m going to take something, don’t know what yet although cheese and olives are always great. It is with kids so they will run and we will talk.
These two simple events make a huge difference in my life.
Sonia is a great friend, but this week, these two women and my relationship with them really makes me immensely happy.

A while ago, Valeria said something similar to what I am feeling. She was talking about how when the environment settles, or may be it is me the one who settles, things seem to start working out.
My theory of the 5-6 years does not fail. Only after 5 or 6 years of living in a place you start belonging. Before that, you are a stranger, not only to the locals eye but also to your own eyes. There is no history, no roots, no nothing.
Last night I was talking to D and he said "you are refreshed" I said yes. And he said: it is these two women and the possibilities. I said yes.
I don’t want a soul mate, but I need friends. People to just pick up the phone, have a coffee or a chat, share the biggest news or the silliest thing. I need friends, and i need women around me, i miss them. And they are two promises. Friends that start little and can become huge.
The difference, with them in the picture, is amazing.
